‘Wor(l)d Weather’ is an activity aimed at key stage 2 pupils.

This activity uses the weather, as the basis upon which to explore how language is constructed and the different factors that influence and make-up language.

In doing so pupils are encouraged to not only speak, write and perform poetry in their heritage language/s or language/s unfamiliar yet of interest to them, but also to consider comparability between languages.

The sounds made by words in different languages can be combined in interesting and unique ways to communicate through poetry.
